Description of the course:
The course is designed for class teachers of primary schools who are requested to teach science material in English. The book (Teaching and Learning Science) contains a wide variety of topics which approximately match the topics taught in primary governmental and independent schools in Qatar. It is in fact worth mentioning that the course supports the instructors tremendously to use the language accurately. Additionally, it helps in building up confidence and effectiveness.
The questions at the end of each topic lead the instructors to develop the speaking skill which is actually the most important brand they need in their career. The glossary at the end of the book, aims at developing lexical skills.
The trainers will get the skill of expressing various scientific vocabulary words.
This course is also quite appropriate for primary students grade 5&6 who are learning science in English. It is a good opportunity for them to enrich their knowledge and improve their English.

Level two
Duration of the course: 48 hours
Description of the course
The course is catered to class teachers of preparatory schools (Intermediate schools) who are requested to teach science material in English. The material will be taught is  appropriate selected topics concerning Earth science, Physic science and other scientific
subjects. The questions at the end of each topic help the learners to develop speaking skill and be receptive as well as productive. Additionally the vocabulary words aims at expanding lexical skills. There are varieties of writing activities which enhance writing skills. The course is also appropriate for the preparatory students who are learning science in English. It is an opportunity for them to enrich their knowledge and develop their English language skills.

In both levels participants will be asked to do one or more presentations which definitely affect their fluency and builds up confidence and effectiveness.
